Key Steps Gymnastics
On Tuesday 27th January 6 of our Y5 children took part in a Key Steps Gymnastics competition at Hillsborough Leisure Centre. Over 300 hundred different schools took part in the competition and 61 teams were entered. There was a lot of competition and all of our children performed to a very high standard. I was extremely impressed with how the children represented our school and the effort that they put into preparing for the competition in the weeks leading up to it. A massive thank you needs to go to Mr Wright for supporting these children in their gymnastics learning. Mr Wright worked hard to teach the children a gymnastics routine which included floor and vault work. The children were then judged on the how well they performed. The highest score was 9.6 out of 10. I would also like to thank Mrs Stewart for taking the children. All of the children should be very proud of their achievements; I know that as a school we are proud of them. The individual scores will be uploaded onto the school website or can be found on the PE notice board.
